As the year comes to a close, I typically see my corporate clients land on one side of the spectrum or the other—either completely overwhelmed, sprinting to hit end-of-year goals, or feeling surprisingly unmotivated, checked out, and counting down the days to vacation.

Maybe you’re buried in back-to-back meetings and inbox overload, or maybe you’re struggling to find the energy to care about one more project update. Wherever you find yourself right now, I’ve created a simple, refreshing wellness break you can use right at your desk to reset your mind and body in just a few minutes. You won’t need special equipment, a change of clothes, or even to leave your chair (though I’ll always encourage you to stand up and move around at least once an hour). This mini-practice is designed to help you breathe deeper, think clearer, and feel more grounded—so you can finish the day feeling more productive and a little less drained.
Feeling Overwhelmed?
- Spin your chair around so you're no longer facing your computer and close your eyes.
- Breathe slowly through your nose and slowly out of your mouth, three times.
- Open your eyes and notice how you feel.
Feeling Unmotivated?
- Sit tall and shake out your hands gently in front of you a few times.
- If it feels appropriate for your body, follow this with a few slow shoulder rolls.
- Finish with three slow humming breaths - inhale through the nose and slowly hum on your exhale.
- Notice how you feel.
If you love this concept, invite me to support your remote team's wellness with sessions that give them time for stress relief and techniques they can continue using on their own!
