Your Meeting with Self-Care

Corporate Wellness Wellness

Do you often feel like there's never a moment to spare for your own well-being? You're not alone. We've all heard those cliches about how everyone has the same 24 hours in a day and the importance of carving out time for ourselves. While these sayings hold are true, they can sometimes be a downer on our motivation.

But what if I told you there's a simple strategy to make wellness a tangible part of your life? Imagine treating your wellness time with the same importance as a business meeting. Yes, book a meeting with your own self-care!

Block out time on your calendar, make a commitment to yourself, and honor it as you would a meeting with your boss. If you wouldn't cancel on them, don't cancel on yourself.

Integrate wellness breaks into your busy schedule

  1. Select a duration that aligns with your daily routine and feels achievable.
  2. Identify the time of day when you're most likely to follow through. If mornings aren't your thing, don't force it—find a time that works for you.
  3. Once it's on your calendar, don't cancel on yourself. This is your time, and you deserve it.

Give this approach a try over the next few weeks. Notice what works and be flexible enough to make adjustments, but above all, do something every day to nourish yourself!
