How to Chaturanga

You get the courage to go to your first Vinyasa class and all of a sudden everyone starts doing some push-up type thing into a mermaid arching towards the sun into a stick your butt in the air kind of flow. The last thing you heard was chaturanga...and you probably didn't even know that's what they said. Welcome to yoga!

As a beginner, these are the moments that might make you think "What did I just get myself into?" - but it is an incredible opportunity to learn something new. So let's break it down!

WATCH THE POSE BREAKDOWN

Once you've practiced with the video, take a picture or video of yourself so you can actually see your own alignment. Sometimes its really surprising to see the difference between how you feel in the pose versus your actual alignment.
