Why Yoga Anyway?

Wellness Yoga

Ummm...because it's amazing! I didn't believe it either until I tried it and now I'm one of those crazy people spreading the love of yoga all around my community. The benefits of yoga truly seem endless to me, but below are some of my personal experiences.

Increased flexibility (and awareness of areas that still need work)
Improved range of motion (My wrists and shoulders were SO locked up before)
Better posture (I can lay face down now and not have a 6-inch gap from my shoulders to the floor)
Deeper breathing (Who knew I could actually breathe in, out, AND up?)
Less headaches (My migraine attacks actually reduced from weekly to a couple times a year with a consistent practice)

The list really goes on and on for me and it can for you too. If you want to know what the pros (a.k.a. Yoga Journal's article http://www.yogajournal.com/article/health/good/) say about the benefits of yoga, review the list below.

    • Pain and stress relief
    • Improved balance, strength, and flexibility
    • Keeps your mind sharp
    • Improved mood and reduced depression symptoms
    • Helps you fall asleep faster
    • Increased immunity
    • Improved heart, spine, and joint health
